Bible Verses to Heal Cancer

Bible Verses to Heal Cancer

The Bible is not only a foundational record for those of the faith, but also an important tool to help arm ourselves with the healing power of the Lord – especially when we face serious challenges including cancer.

Though modern medicine has come a long way in helping us to overcome these serious medical challenges, one should always try to lean on and rely on the ceiling and protective power of the Lord whenever possible.

Hopefully these scriptures below will help give you the extra bit of strength and courage you need as you face this challenge, helping you to come out on top of the situation with your faith (and your health) intact!
Make sure to remember these top 10 prayers for extra strength and extra courage in your moments of need, and remember to lean on your faith in times of struggle and moments of weakness or temptation
Prayer #1 –Psalms 34:19

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
It’s always important to remember that the Lord has a transformative ability to deliver us from all of our greatest afflictions, including those of a medical variety. Though we cannot fully understand or grass why cancer must exist at all, it’s critical to remember that the Lord will always help to drive it from us as we meet this challenge.
Prayer #2 –Psalms 103:1-

“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases”
The power that our Lord possesses is incredible, far more vast and unknowable than anyone could possibly imagine. It’s important that we give ourselves to his healing power fully, committing to our faith and understanding that he’ll help to see us through these challenges just like any other.
Prayer #3 – Matthew 14:14

“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. – Jesus is still healing”
Matthew was able to see firsthand the incredible healing power of Jesus, the kind of healing power that he was granted as the son of our Lord. This passage illustrates the power that Jesus had while he walked on earth as well as the power that he still has today to heal the masses from serious afflictions like cancer.
Prayer #4 – Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Even in our darkest moments, we must remember that the Lord is always with us, walking hand in hand and never leaving our side. If you remember this and really embrace it, you won’t have to worry about anything at all – the challenges will be met.
Prayer #5 – John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
This passage from the Bible illustrates that even people back when the Bible was first written and recorded understood that there were invisible agents at work, agents possibly of Satan, that were sent to destroy us from the inside out. At the same time, people have always understood that Jesus and the Lord will always work together to help drive those invisible agents from our bodies and our souls.
Prayer #6 – Psalms 138:3

“In the day when I cried thou answered me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul.”
Not all of life is going to be picture-perfect, smooth sailing, or sunshine and roses. As human beings, we are going to be asked to face all kinds of challenges on a regular basis (small as well as large), and one of the largest ones that we may have to face is cancer.

However, when you know that there is always going to be a strength from above whenever you need it – especially when you least expect it – you’ll be able to meet that challenge head-on without blinking.
Prayer #7 – Philippians 1:6

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
We’ve long understood that we have been created in the image of our Lord, and this passage speaks to the fact that we are always “works in progress” – but we are good projects with love in our hearts and the ability to overcome even the direst of situations.

When you are feeling weak draw from this strength, and you’ll be able to meet just about anything (including cancer) that comes your way.
Prayer #8 – Hebrews 4:15-16

“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Often times in moments of darkness, we can begin to lose our way, lose our path, and forget our faith, even though these are the moments that we most require it. Do not allow yourself to become distracted by these thoughts, but instead embrace the light of the Lord, so that you may take advantage of the health and healing power faith has to offer.
Prayer #9 – Psalms 55:22

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
This Psalm speaks to the fact that we are never given challenges that we wouldn’t be able to overcome, no matter how terrible the situation may seem on the surface. Everything that happens in our lives happens for a reason, and once we begin to realize and embrace this we are able to move forward with clear mines and confidence in our hearts and souls.
Prayer #10 – Psalms 118:17

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD”
A powerful Psalm to remember when things seem to be at their bleakest moment. We never truly die, but instead pass on to another life, another power, another plane of existence – one in which we will be rewarded for meeting each of the challenges that we had placed in front of us.

Use all of the Scripture above to help yourself as necessary, to give yourself a bit of extra confidence, and to begin to move forward even in the face of one of the most serious and life altering diseases or medical emergencies there are.
